Yes, the 10698NAT Diploma of Weight Management and 10859NAT Certificate IV in Weight Management are accredited courses. The HLT43015 Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance, HLT47315 Certificate IV in Health Administration, HLT33015 Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance and HLT37315 Certificate III in Health Administration are qualifications from the HLT (Health) Training package. Accreditation, in this context, means the course is nationally recognised and that a registered training organisation (RTO) can issue a nationally recognised qualification or statement of attainment following its full or partial completion.  An accredited course is specifically designed to meet an established industry need.

Graduates of the 10698NAT Diploma of Weight Management and 10859NAT Certificate IV in Weight Management are able to call themselves a Nutritionist as there are currently no regulations in Australia around the use of this term.  ‘A nutritionist may be a tertiary qualified nutrition professional that has the expertise to provide a range of evidence based nutrition services related to nutrition, public health nutrition, policy and research, and community health. It’s important to note that the term ‘nutritionist’ is not regulated.
